On May 31st , 2018 at KSTU named after I. Razakova a regular working meeting of Erasmus + “Higher Education for Food Systems and Standards in Central Asia” (HECAFS), project partners was held. This project brings together six universities from Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Central Asian employers` associations.
The Dean of the KSTU, J.Jamanbaev and the Project Manager Irina Kulitane (Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies), Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of KSTU Mr. M.K. Chynybayev and KSTU`s dean of the technological faculty Sh. Dzhunushalieva, welcomed the participants.
The working part of the forum was devoted to the discussion of the projects’ curriculum prepared by the departmnets of Kyrgyz universities with the assistance of project partners: presentations were made by the coordinators D.A. Kozhegulov (KSTU) and M.Sh. Eliunova (KEU). A special contribution to the announced training plans was made by valuable comments and additions made by the representatives of the Association of Fruit and Vegetable Enterprises of Kyrgyzstan.
A very informative presentation was held by Umed Aslanov, the head of the Central Asian branch of Hilfswerk Austria International (HWA), where the results of the regional seminar on the “Mechanisms and tools for improving curricular and increasing the competitiveness of food industry enterprises” that was held on May 15, 2018 on the basis of KEU named after M. Ryskulbekova, were discussed.
In the second half of the day there was a meeting with the pilot methods of teaching disciplines of the “Preservation Technology” Department, presented by the teachers of the universities of Poland, Latvia and Lithuania.
