II meeting of Coordinating committee on simplification of procedures of trade

The second meeting of Coordinating committee on simplification of procedures of trade has been held on April 5, 2017 in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of RT.

Representatives of the relevant ministries and committees of the country, non-profit organizations and public associations, international organizations located in the country and also mass-media have participated in a working meeting. The total number of participants was more than 70 people.

During the meeting representatives of the ministries and public associations made several presentations. During presentations a number of offers on the existing problems connected with export-import procedures and transit of goods have been sounded and submitted for the consideration of the Committee.

Matluba Uljabaeva, Chairperson of the NASMB Board, presented a new project “Higher Education for Central Asia Food Systems and Standards” funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and in equal partnership with international and regional partners. The overall objective of the project is support modernization of higher education for implementation of internationally recognized food production and processing safety systems and standards in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, thus increasing food export potential of small and medium enterprises.

The presentation of the project has received a good mark of members of Coordinating committee and a wish in successful realization.

The draft of the Working plan of the Coordinating Committee for 2017-2018 has been considered and approved at this meeting. During the meeting new members of the Committee from among representatives of the enterprises and public organizations and business associations of Tajikistan have also been approved.

Under the leadership of the deputy head of Customs service the Technical working group on introduction of system of “Single window on execution of export-import and transit procedures in the Republic of Tajikistan” has been established. Task of this group is acceleration the process of introduction of the “Single window” system. It has to be note, that “Single window” is designed to improve business climate in the Republic of Tajikistan.
