Cooperation within the framework of the HECAFS project

Recently, a group of faculty members of the department “Commodity research, examination of goods and technology” returned from Riga (Latvia), participated in the weekly training program based on the Latvian Agricultural University.

A delegation consisting of doctor of technical sciences, professor, head of the department of Alymbekov K.A., senior teachers Eliyahunova M.Sh., Ishkeeva A.K., Turdiyeva F.A. and Osmonova B.B., visited a number of food enterprises operating based on international standards, regulations of the European Union and on the principles of HACCP.

During the visit, the group of teachers was acquainted with the educational and scientific activities of the Latvian Agricultural University (LSU), Jelgava. The theoretical part of the trainings were conducted in the well-equipped laboratories.

Practical parts of the training were conducted on the basis of the Republican Food and Veterinary Service, the Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environmental Protection “BIOR”, the Institute of Horticulture, milk processing plants, and enterprises on processing of cranberries, blueberries, dionysus and other types of food raw materials.

Teachers also studied curricula of specialties that will be implemented in the educational process of the KEU on the profiles of “commodity science”, “restaurant business”, “customs examination”, “commodity management”, as well as entrepreneurs engaged in the production and sale of food products.
