A regional seminar on “Mechanisms and tools for improving curricula to increase the competitiveness of food industry enterprises will be held on May 15, 2018 at the Kyrgyz Economic University named after M.Ryskulbekov.
About 30 participants from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will participate in the work of three sections within one day. Questions of development of modules, their content, training load and methods of teaching students will be considered during the sections. Participants will also discuss the involvement of business associations and entrepreneurs in assessing the competencies of university graduates for correcting and updating current curricula and modules and establishing long-term cooperation between universities and entrepreneurs.
Based on the results of the seminar, participants plan to: develop proposals and recommendations for further improvement of curricula and modules; to develop a model for monitoring the knowledge of university graduates with the participation of entrepreneurs to improve the quality of teaching students to the Global GAP standard; and also to formulate a mechanism of partnership between universities and enterprises on the food production and processing industry.
