A working visit to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan of the Latvian delegation involved in the food-processing sector held in the last decade of August 2017.
During the visit to Kyrgyzstan, the Latvian delegation visited KSTU named after Razakov, Department for the Prevention of Diseases of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, as well as a number of processing enterprises. Participants of the visit were able to visit the third exhibition of Silk Road countries.
The visit to Tajikistan also included working and B2B meetings with dry fruit processing companies, visits to a number of enterprises and trade networks, the “Shiri Saodat” dairy factory, the biggest dehkan farms of Gissar and Khatlon districts and partner universities.
The main purpose of this visit focused in discussions of the issues of quality, safety and cooperation of the parties, to identify the list of export-oriented products and interests of regional and Latvian business circles. As a result of this visit, the interested partners and structures in Latvia will be chosen as the main for the upcoming visit by regional producers and food suppliers in September this year.
