From 11 to 26 March 2018, teachers of four higher educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, consisting of 22 people, take part in a study tour in Poland and Lithuania.
The study tour is dedicated to improving practical skills and competence of teaching staff of universities about internationally recognised standards and food safety systems along value chains (VAC: value added chains) in the food processing industry.
Participants of the study tour visit farms, cooperatives on volume consolidation and ensuring homogeneity and safety of the products and processing enterprises for processing of fruits and vegetables products.
During the study tour, special attention is paid to practical application of the Global GAP standard in a number of Polish farms, both at individual farms level and farmer associations level, for instance cooperatives.
Food processing companies are visited for review with the practice of standard HACCP. The study tour covers safety practices along the entire chain of post-harvest completion, consolidation of volumes, primary and deep processing.
