Dear colleagues,
We present to your attention the main deliverables of the HECAFS project, in the form of reports, plans and methodological documents, available for familiarization to specialists of a wide profile.
1) Report on the assessment of the situation in area of higher education, food production and processing in relation to food quality and safety in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan (D 1.1)
Report provides overview on food related study environment in four Central Asia universities, being partners of the project, as well on situation of food production and processing enterprises regarding knowledge needs, availability of specialists. In conclusion part stakeholders’ recommendations on actions to be taken are summarised. The information in the document will be useful for organisations dealing with food related higher education or are providing training for enterprises.
2) The methodology for the assurance and assessment of quality of higher education study programmes (D 3.1)
Quality assurance and assessment plan is methodology to be used for the assurance and assessment of quality of the study programmes modernised within the project. Nine modernised programmes are providing studies for future food production and processing specialists. While studies students will receive knowledge and competencies necessary to introduce and maintain food production standards and systems at companies, as well prepared for work in public authorities monitoring food production and processing systems. Criteria and mechanisms defined in the methodology can be adopted for study programmes of other fields of science.
3) Report – evaluation of study modules implementation in Tajikistan’s and Kyrgyzstan’s universities (D 5.2)
Report includes summary of key conclusions on lessons learnt, knowledge and experience gained after activities of Central Asia teachers’ capacity building and provision of pilot studies. Recommendations for Tajikistan’s and Kyrgyzstan’s universities, teachers, social partners and future projects are provided. Then document can be used by both countries universities for planning further capacity building measures.
4) Action plan for ensuring sustainability of the project results (D 7.2)
The action plan for ensuring sustainability of the project results has been prepared to make the results of the project consistent and used in the long term. There is long term and short term plan defined. Long-term measures cover 5-year period, short-term plan spans over a period of up to the end of 2021. The measures are split into three units: 1) knowledge; 2) funding; 3) cooperation and interaction.
