During the open discussion was noted that it is necessary to strengthen the support of local producers through training and introduction of recognized international quality and safety standards in the food processing sector. Participants of the roundtable stressed the importance of ensuring a closer and more productive interaction between science and business in the conduct of research and the introduction of new efficient technologies and developments in production.

It was suggested that representatives of relevant higher education institutions, such as the Tajik Agrarian University, the Polytechnic Institute of the Tajik Technical University, the Technological University of Tajikistan and the Research Institute of the Country also should be actively involved into the dialogue and practical realization.
